Brief HistoryÂ
Shree Seth Kirodimal Government Hospital (KGH), Raigarh, is a landmark government healthcare institution in Chhattisgarh, known for its long-standing service, trusted care, and social impact. The hospital was established through the generous contribution of the Seth Kirodimal Charitable Trust, a symbol of philanthropy and community service in the region.
The foundation stone was laid on 3rd December 1952 by Pandit Ravishankar Shukla, the first Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, and the hospital was officially inaugurated on 28th April 1954. Since its inception, KGH Raigarh has been committed to delivering free and affordable medical care to the people of Raigarh and neighboring districts.
As a district government hospital, KGH functions under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Chhattisgarh, and plays a vital role in implementing national and state-level health programs like Ayushman Bharat, Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), NCD clinics, and vaccination drives. It also serves as a referral center for Primary and Community Health Centers across the district.
